Omg I have the exact same experiences and I can’t even
process this it’s so so so strange. I also have other forms of synesthesia. I
never knew this happened to other people, I wish there were more studies on
this.

I have this experience when I orgasm too!!!! My partner
loves hearing me try to explain the colour or sensation after we have been
intimate. Sometimes it is just colour/s other times it could be in the
shapes/forms of waves or fireworks or little wiggly lines. I had no idea there
was a name for it and others who experienced sex that way.

Same with mine. I had never experienced it before with
anyone but my current fiancé . I didn’t know what to make of it. It was like a
soft color firework show with my eyes closed.

Amazing! I have this too! What I see is never the same. Most
often glowing colors and shapes, shifting and moving when I orgasm or am
getting deeply massaged. It can be like fireworks, lightsabers, or glowing
clouds of sunset-colored cotton candy, glowing on a dark background. Once, when
being kissed I saw vines with glowing orange and red leaves moving up from
where his fingers touched into my hair. Another time, it was pink blossoms.
Once, I even had a person speak to me in the vision. I had it happen maybe a
half dozen times earlier in life, but 99% of these have happened with my now
husband.
I also have number form synesthesia, but I didn’t realize
these visions were akin to synesthesia too! I love this and wouldn’t trade it
for the world. Feels like a tiny bit of a magical power.

I have this! First time it happened was with my now husband.
Also my first time having multiple orgasms. I felt like I was in another world.
I can still see the exact image I saw then. Moving shapes, lots of colors, just
floating in space. It's happened several times over the years but only during
sex, not kissing or cuddling. A lot of times I see/smell/ taste fruit. Most
recently it was apples. I'm so glad I finally know what this is.

I had my first real notable experience of this last night to
the point it scared me a little afterwards once I’d taken it in. At first I
could just see green when I was closing my eyes. I felt so calm and happy. The
green was swirling around. I then started getting full pictures AND sounds! Not
like I could hear it but I felt it. I felt like I was in an African tribe or
something, they were looking at me and smiling but in a nice way. I could see
faces and I felt drumming. It was beautiful but kind of scary!

I’ve experienced bright red soft flashes of color while
orgasming with my fiancée the brighter the bursts the more intense. My eyes are
always closed during this. I’ve never experienced it with any other before or
ever.

During sex, I am always in a different setting. A Roman
bath, the desert at night, an Old West saloon, a porch looking over the
prairie. It’s always peaceful, relaxing, and dream-like. I also have calendar
synesthesia.

This is the closest to my experience that I’ve read. Mine is
different countries. After we finish I am left with a strong sense of a random

Glad I'm not alone! I get colours or images during sex, and
they're so weird. Sometimes things will feel a colour, and sometimes I will
visualise random images and scenarios without even realising; and the visuals
change as it continues. Some examples include a badger, a museum with an
antique vase, and visualising a map of different country invasions. They also
change based on the sensation, for example if the person moves position the
country might as well, or if they move their hand it might feel like someone
walking upstairs. I often don't even realise its happening. Its like I'm sort
of dreaming throughout the whole thing.

I used to experience amazing elements of color and beauty as
my pleasure grew during sex. Often I was in an incredibly beautiful store
looking at colorful and dazzlingly gorgeous items and artwork. Sometimes it was
just bursts of bright colors and patterns. I definitely felt out of body,
deeply peaceful, and grateful to be in such a beautiful state of being. Once I
passed through menopause, the synesthesia stopped. I miss it!

That's interesting. I've found it intensified after
menopause, but possibly because I started doing pelvic floor exercises daily! I
can have colours or letters of the alphabet. I have an unpartnered disabled
friend who uses a vibrator to orgasm, and she says it makes her feel very close
to God and understand his love for her.

Mad how close the 'kandinsky-like figures' bit.. that's what
I had just google to try and understand my own experience. It felt like I was
no longer a body or could feel our bodies connected but instead we were both
graphic shapes moving around, not even human shaped. Just graphic lines moving

I’m glad I’m not crazy I’ve always wondered what this was
called. If there was even a name for it. When I was younger I would see colors,
shapes, feel vibrations and sounds. Now i get those and at times I could be
laying in a bed of wildflowers or the hillside with the wild fall flowers
growing and I’m running through it. A scenic view of a hillside the sky so blue
and im in the center spinning in a circle wild and free. I tell my husband “
Take me to Paradise “ because it seems like that’s where I get to go. I feel
like im dreaming sweet dreams while im awake. Felt guilty at first but goodness
it’s beyond beautiful.

I get this too. It's wonderful. For me, it notice it
immediately after sex. I am in a trace like state and see beautiful vivid
colours like a kaleidoscope show. The Kadinsky reference also covers it. I feel
totally relaxed and almost as if floating. I have to focus though because if I
change mind mode to do something else, it can go away. If I'm lucky I can
refocus and get it back. After sex I prefer to say nothing, just lie there and
enjoy my beautiful trance trip. Post menopausal woman here, 30 years married.
Only been happening in the last few years. I wonder if I've just got better at
engaging in the zone and totally relaxing.

I found this thread because this happened to me last night
for the first time. I’ve always lost myself during sex but last night I saw the
entire galaxy! It was amazing like I was going home! It started with little
glimpses of blue and pink flashes like the northern lights then I saw stars and
the closer I got to orgasm it was like I was getting further into space and
then I saw the full galaxy!

This sounds very similar to me. I only today thought to
google it as I’d never heard anything about it before. Also, from the comments
here it seems to happen to women much more than men? For me it happens every
now and then when I have a very intense orgasm. Always the same, like I am
floating in the universe among the stars. Sometimes travelling at speed.

“sexual synesthesia” is that a fancy term for paraphilia?
For those that dont know A paraphilia is an experience of recurring or intense
sexual arousal to atypical objects, places, situations, fantasies, behaviors,
or individuals. While I dont think Paraphila is a form of synesthesia its worth
pointing out that both are linking things together that normally shouldnt be
linked.

Hi! No, sexual synesthesia isn't a paraphilia and there's no
connection between it and what you describe here, they're two totally different

I have experienced beautiful flowers with really large
beautiful petals which sparkling colours on like. The flowers are bluish and
the glitters on then are purple-pinkish, goldish and silver. They last forever
although they fade till they varnish totally, afew minutes are literally like
afovere er scene.
I have also experience areally really gigantic beautiful
colour shimmering star lingering in the sky but so close to me in acompletely
different world.
The colours are blue, purple, pink, gold and silver of which
all shimmer.
This is the most amazing experience of my entire life and
this the most beautiful beautiful of both of lives as acouple, been together
for 19months and yet the this vivid phenomenon started happening not so long
ago.

I can’t believe I’ve found others who have experienced this!
I have had it happen vividly twice. I’m transported both times to two different
places in nature. However these places were nothing like earth. They were
magical and involved a peace I’ve never felt before. One was on a mountain side
and the other a path in a forest. I wish I was talented in the arts and could
paint what I saw. They were both not of this world. It was such a gift.

When i go into a meditative trance i feel sensations in my
body, my body becomes lighter, i feel heat in regions of my body. i also have
an almost 360-degree view that is very subtle, and I see colors of deep blue,
pink, greens, yellow, gold with underlying symbols, pictures, people, moving
objects but can never really make these out or recognize. the more I go into
trance this intensifies and gets a little stronger after every meditation. I
feel relaxed, but recently I am starting to feel the oncoming of a body orgasm.
yet to make out what i am viewing with my eyes closed, it almost seems like the
lights are out and as the light and colors increase i can see more and feel
more, my ears also seem to ring slightly. After the meditation i can read text
on my phone which i normally need glasses for, also when i look at the clouds
they seem to portrait shapes or far away landscapes

I have just recently started having these intense visions.
It used to just be colors, but now I’m getting images. I still see colors
during normal affection with my partner. It changes regularly.
The first one was a western town that was pink/pastels and
was kinda of sparkly?
The most recent was a star. It started out as just the
starburst, then it started growing. The center was white, surrounded by pink,
then yellow. The center then was an orb rotating counterclockwise. After a bit
I couldn’t tell if there was writing on it or if it had continents?
Very, very weird but I’m glad that I’m not the only one that
has this. I thought I was insane.

57 years old and I have been with my fiance for over 14
years. I experienced bright blue green and the most beautiful purple sparks of
color! Just wow! I saw a pendulum crescent moon silhouettes of butterflies and
many beautiful images! I thought it was just me, but I just had to look it up!

Omg this is crazy so I experience the same fireworks visual
when my boyfriend kisses me and it wasn't he whole time we been together a
total of 3 months. It jus started happening. I described it as geometrical
patterns.

I know about myself that the colors I see just after having
an orgasm are the same as when I see oxytocin. I discussed it with a student
scientist and we both have the thought that in my case it's a kind of
interoception-synesthesia. It's me seeing my flow of neurotransmitters.
Other neurotransmitters also have color to me. F.e.
adrenalin is green, cortisol is purple, endorfin is transparant/ glassy,
dopamin is red/black, serotonin is sadly-sandblue, prostaglandin is a tiny
light flash, and OXYTOCINE is the most perfect geometric pattern of transparent
turquoise dots on a intens transparant magenta background. I see that pattern
not only with an orgasm, but also when I intensly feel seen and heard. So
seeing that pattern also when I felt extremely seen and heard once, during a
trauma therapy session, that was the way I found that it's the pattern of
oxytocine that's projecting itself at the back of my eyelids just after orgasm.

I actually don't remember when it started but i was amazed
never mentioned to my husband though. I randomly happened to come across that
it has a name to it and so many ladies here omg. It happens to me when my eyes
are closed . Mostly a colour theme going on. Sometimes i see whole scenes like
a royal western villa beautiful rooms. Last time i saw purple castle. I just

It’s so exciting to discover others like me! I’m 72 yrs old
and while I’ve always lived sex and had powerful orgasms the last five or so

stairwells, hallways, flooring patterns, wall patterns and textures ... that
could be brought back to the seventies or early eighties modernism. Or even
older buildings with Art Deco of Art Nouveau styles.

It’s sort of freaky to read that other people have the exact
same visions during intimacy 😂 I never had this
experience with my last partner but with my partner now it happens more often
than not. There’s a different color for different vibes, my favorite vibe was
all orange orbs and other orange stuff. For a while I’d continuously see a dark
castle and I did not like the vibe of that one, it was such a turn off lol. I
also hate when it’s black leather fabric. But I love when it’s fields of
flowers, it’s so peaceful and harmonious. Also, when it hurts for a minute, all

This is the very first time I've gotten close to finding
some answers for my experience. I often find when I'm in a trance like pleasure
state during sex, getting vivid images sent to my brain of textures and
patterns from random objects from my childhood. It has no connection to the
sexual encounter- but it's like a slideshow, and often one
pattern/image/texture has a similar feature that connects it to the following
image. During it all, I experience the strongest sense of happiness and peace

I recently had this experience with my husband. I have vivid
dreams and visions anyway but never during sex until now. As the climax
subsided it was as if I were in this huge library filled with ancient books.
What’s cool about this is I love writing books. The calm in the vision only

Omg! I love everything I've experienced with this man! My
