I struggle to articulate my feelings and am definitely unsure if they lay within synesthesia. Certain varied concepts (mainly times of year/weather and temperature, and flows of emotion (music has a very strong influence on this) and ESPECIALLY certain groups of memories) all bring me vivid sensations that are somewhere between feelings and flavors simultaneously. And I don't feel like flavor is the perfect term as I can't ever pinpoint the flavor of 90% of them, with one exception 2021, metal working/machine shops, looking atr normal red bull, dollar generals, and a few others all taste like the white flesh of a cocoa pods seeds. Can't find much of a correct feeling answer yet nor do I feel I've been able to perfectly explain it but hoping putting this out there someone maybe has some idea
Hi! I think the page with the type closest to what you're looking for is the page on Concept-taste/smell ( https://www.thesynesthesiatree.com/2021/02/concept-taste-and-concept-smell.html ) so you could take a look at that and see what you think. As to the emotion-related aspect, what you say might fit in with emotion-taste synesthesia ( https://www.thesynesthesiatree.com/2021/03/emotion-taste-synesthesia.html ), although the examples on the page are more about the different specific emotions, very categorised, not a flow as you describe here. Although if you could identify and specifically name the different emotions you feel with your various triggers, perhaps you might recognise this as your own case. You could also look at the page on emotion-smell ( https://www.thesynesthesiatree.com/2021/03/emotion-smell-synesthesia.html ) for some more examples - you might recognise something there. Yes, sometimes taste sensations can be more like a "feeling" or they can even be tactile, mouthfeel, tactile but outside your body, a colour or various different things that are not exactly taste but taste is probably the best way to describe them!
